Cellbiocan

Founded in 2011 by Tirso Group and coordinator of the Molecular Genetics Unit of the Hospital Marqués de Valdecilla, Jose Luis Fernandez Moon, Cellbiocan is the first biotechnology company in the health sector in Cantabria, specializing in cellular and molecular biology of cancer.

Since 2013 Cellbiocan invests in innovation and focuses all its efforts on the development of Sentir Project, which involves the creation of a biosensor for the detection of cancerous cells using liquid biopsy. This sensor will predict the evolution of the disease and response to treatment. For this also it has the support of the University of Cantabria and IK4 Teckniker.

In 2015 the Medical Igualatorio Cantabria enters Cellbiocan to support their research.
