GRUPO TIRSO IS A MEMBER OF THE I NATIONAL MEETING ABOUT CIRCULAR ECONOMY AND SUSTAINABLE INDUSTRIAL PROGRAMS

Santander hosts today the meeting on the statewide matter, organized by the Autonomous Chamber of Commerce, the public company Sodercan and EIT Climate-KIC, the European Innovation and Knowledge Community that works to accelerate the transition to an emission-free economy carbon. The main theme of the event will be the circular economy, based on not recycling but on redesigning and reusing resources and products.

This appointment has two main objectives. The first will be to bring together the national leaders of the circular economy at the political level so that, later, a small group of relevant Cantabrian actors - public and private institutions, universities, companies - analyze the compromise options to create an "ecosystem" from the that evaluate the challenges and design solutions in the matter, through the exchange of ideas and good practices. The second and during the day - the `Meeting of the Ecosystem of Circular Economy in Cantabria` - the participants will discuss the importance of the circular economy to face climate change, the time they will analyze the economic opportunities and employment represented by the action because of the weather.

The first national meeting of strategies about circular economy in Spain and Europe is part of the H2020 Cicerone project, the circular economy platform for the European Union's strategic policy agenda, led by EIT Climate-KIC.

Representatives of the government of Cantabria, Santander City Council, University of Cantabria, IH Cantabria, Components Technology Center, DeLuz, Textile Santanderina, Solvay, Viesgo, Teka or Grupo Tirso, and entities such as CEOE-Cepyme, Amica, Saja-Nansa Rural Development Association or Santander Entrepreneurship International Center. In addition to the national level, the governments of Andalusia, La Rioja, Asturias, Galicia and Castilla y León are also represented through different organizations and departments, as well as other institutions such as Acciona or Ecoembes.
